It feels like yesterday.
This morning I just realized, that I missed the ‘Mlenny Birthdate’ – 10 Years Mlenny on iStockphoto anniversary – by roughly 3 weeks. My first images got accepted on iStockphoto on the 31st August 2005.
A lot has changed in those 10 years, to the bad but also a lot to the good! The brand new ‘Microstock Business of 2005’ evolved and matured. In those ten years I literally met with hundreds or maybe even thousands of interesting people from all over the world to shoot together people, concepts, travel, landscapes and simply having fun together with like-minded people sharing the same craziness, passion and love for photography and travel. Many became good and close friends, independent how often and where we meet on our small planet! This is by far the greatest and best part of those ten years. So happy birthday to my Alter Ego: Mlenny. Cheers to the next 10 years and to all people and friends I met and will see soon again. I can`t wait for the next 10 years of travel and adventures.

The image below got accepted on iStockphoto exactly 10 years ago. It´s from a snowmobile trip with friends in Lapland/Finland in the cold month of February 2005. Processed 16.9.2005 and uploaded Mid September 2005, it got accepted on 21st September 2005.

Even 10 years old, with the (from todays point of view) low MegaPixel of the original Canon 1D of 2005, I still like it. But even more: I fell back into memories of this 2005 trip by simply seeing it in my portfolio. Thanks iStock!
