Episiode II of my Portfolio in Action. It`s really a good feeling to get some response, so thanks to all of you e-mailing me to (found(at)mlenny.com) or sitemailing me in iStockphoto. To know where the images are finally used really multiplies the fun of shooting new photos. thank you.
and here are the new images found in action...
The Web 2.0 EXPO in Berlin happened between the 5th-8th November 2007. I attended the Web 2.0 EXPO as a Visitor for one day and took the chance there to meet up with Garth J. and Thomas P. from the iStockphoto BusDev to meet and talk at their iStockphoto booth on the Web 2.0 EXPO. After our chat Thomas P. gave me the ADZINE Magazine - together with some really beautiful istockphoto merchandising underpants - which (the adzine magazin of course) thomas p. discovered on the ADZINE booth on WEB 2.0 EXPO. And funny enough...it has my 'Screaming Cowboy' shot from the Austin, Texas iStockalypse as the Front Cover. Again a very lucky & funny 'walk-in-pure-luck' discovery of a photo I took. So Tyler (Stalman) - the Cowboy Model- finally ended up on an Online Marketing Magazin Cover. Btw. Garth J. legs and feet can be found in the background of this shot, too. The iStockphoto BusDev can be seen everywhere!
On the above right you see a night shot of a german autobahn I took some months ago. It was cropped horizontly mirrored and afterwards used in the broschure of the GWT Automotive Forschung + Innovation, a company of the Technical University of Dresden AG.
No. No. No. I`m not an Astronaut, neither a Kosmonaut, a Taikonaut, a Spationaut nor an Angkasawan. I don`t work for the NASA or ESA. The image on the right is a montage of images from the NASA. You can see a lot of those shots at Visible Earth. I modified those shots, added a sun and a moon, rendered some lens flares in CS3, i it can be found in my portfolio. Science Daily downloaded my photomontage and used it on their website (left image). Thanks for the mail and letting me know.
Tourias.de, a German Global Tourist Information Website used a crop of one of my shots from the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. This original shot (above right) was taken on New Years Day 2006. Yes it looks like summer, but there was an amazing blue sky in Paris on the 1st of January 2006.![]()
'World-Leading Electronics Scoring'.....'laser aim scoring subsystems'...'round identification and location subsystem'...Armed Helicopters in front a collage of two images I took in the beautiful desert landscape of Iceland (middle) and desert dunes in the rub al khali desert, united arab emirates (right). I really hope that those landscapes will never be a background for those kind of helicopters in reality.
Martin C. found the image of my angry son (on this image 3 years young) on Deadsushi.com (Advertising is Dead). Thanks for mailing me the link to this banner. Click on the above left to see the ad, on the right is the original photo.
'The Future is Manmade'. Just true. The WWF-Australia used my image 'racing bicycle', which I took during the Barcelona iStockalypse in a Bicyle Racing Velodrom, for the website Futuremakers.
Nomen est Omen. Also 'made in Barcelona' is the portrait of two attractive women 'Seductive Girls'. Not only men like beautiful women. So....this shot is used at Goodoo.com. It`s a lesbian flirt & dating web community in France.
'Human Pyramid', a group shot of castellers in catalunya building up a human pyramid, found the way to another web community. The german community 'Luft zum Leben' (from the pharma giant GlaxoSmithKline) used this image in their healthcare community 'luft-zum-leben.de'. This community is for exchanging user experiences around the topics : asthma & allergies.
As written before, I will add more discoveries of my portfolio in action in the future. If YOU find any images of my portfolio somewhere, please send an email to: found (at) mlenny.com.
