Episode III: Mlenny Portfolio in Action 2008. Sold & Found.
Episiode III of Mlenny Portfolio in Action.
Thanks again to all of you e-mailing me or sitemailing me in iStockphoto. Here you see the usage of some of my images I sold in iStockphoto. Have fun.
Lost and Found Episode III - February 2008:
My son (on this picture 4 years young) playing with his toy train was on the cover of the NorthOaks Community Magazin. On the right you see the original shot from my iStockphoto portfolio.
Thanks Uwe modelling in front of a Frankfurt Business Tower. You made it on the poster (and the website) of a Russian Non-Smoking Campaign. Wow. Unfortunately I don`t understand the russian language, so if anyone could translate the Claim on the Poster, please mail me! On the right you see the original shot.
Marie Claire Australia used one of my women group portraits I took last year in Marseille, France.
Cosmo Girl! used a shot from Austin, Texas for their website. Thanks to Lisa for modelling as the screaming singer on stage.
It was really funny to see one of my shots for sale in ebay. How could that happen? Very easy. The Gallery bought an Extended License of my Image in iStockphote with the option for resale. They are producing canvas prints and sell them over ebay. Nice business idea. I`m curious if this works. I had really big eyes when I discovered this usage of my summer landscape shot. But what do they mean with 'Gallery Price 399US$' ??
Designklicks is an Art Project of Trendbüro Hamburg together with the magazine 'Der Spiegel' in Germany. The Art Plattform is described as 'a web-based experimental inquiry into a new aesthetics'. Three (!) of my shot made it in 2007 on the homepage of this great website. In the TOP 10 Experts Rating I got place 1 (drake passage) and place 2 (Berber in the Saharah) plus place 2 in the Public Rating (Angry Child). Wow. Those results on such a great Art Plattform really made me proud.
Beautiful young women. I took this this groupshot in Barcelona. WeddingTV used it on their website.
Amanda as punk girl sitting in a pink chair. SOCO (South of colfax) used my image on the cover of their february 2008 special events flyer.
Dahl-Chase Diagnostic Services took one of my Iceberg shots from Antarctica as a design element for the cover of their brochure. Don`t worry, I don`t dive in such an ice cold antarctic water - it`s a great photoshop job their designer did in this visual.
Castingnieuws.nl, a Casting and Model Magazin used in their September 2007 (look at page 13) and November 2007 (look at page 89) issues two shots from my portfolio. Anais from the London in the 'Hey Jo Club Shooting', and Tyler as a screaming Cowboy (in Austin, Texas). Thanks to both for modelling!
Students Union W1 from the University of Westminster also used a shot from the 'Hey Jo Club Shooting' from Anais on their Flyer/Poster for the 'Burlesque Mascarade Party'.
Gullfoss (English: Golden Falls) is a waterfall located in the canyon of Hvita River in South-West Iceland. I took the shot in August 2007 and i`m happy that designers like this photo, too. Islandia.no used this photo on their website.
PaesiONline an italian travel guide used the Obelisk Monument (Obelisco de Buenos Aires) on their Argentina Travel Section.

Episode II: Mlenny Portfolio in Action. More Sold & Found.
Episiode II of my Portfolio in Action. It`s really a good feeling to get some response, so thanks to all of you e-mailing me to (found(at)mlenny.com) or sitemailing me in iStockphoto. To know where the images are finally used really multiplies the fun of shooting new photos. thank you.
and here are the new images found in action...
The Web 2.0 EXPO in Berlin happened between the 5th-8th November 2007. I attended the Web 2.0 EXPO as a Visitor for one day and took the chance there to meet up with Garth J. and Thomas P. from the iStockphoto BusDev to meet and talk at their iStockphoto booth on the Web 2.0 EXPO. After our chat Thomas P. gave me the ADZINE Magazine - together with some really beautiful istockphoto merchandising underpants - which (the adzine magazin of course) thomas p. discovered on the ADZINE booth on WEB 2.0 EXPO. And funny enough...it has my 'Screaming Cowboy' shot from the Austin, Texas iStockalypse as the Front Cover. Again a very lucky & funny 'walk-in-pure-luck' discovery of a photo I took. So Tyler (Stalman) - the Cowboy Model- finally ended up on an Online Marketing Magazin Cover. Btw. Garth J. legs and feet can be found in the background of this shot, too. The iStockphoto BusDev can be seen everywhere!
On the above right you see a night shot of a german autobahn I took some months ago. It was cropped horizontly mirrored and afterwards used in the broschure of the GWT Automotive Forschung + Innovation, a company of the Technical University of Dresden AG.
No. No. No. I`m not an Astronaut, neither a Kosmonaut, a Taikonaut, a Spationaut nor an Angkasawan. I don`t work for the NASA or ESA. The image on the right is a montage of images from the NASA. You can see a lot of those shots at Visible Earth. I modified those shots, added a sun and a moon, rendered some lens flares in CS3, i it can be found in my portfolio. Science Daily downloaded my photomontage and used it on their website (left image). Thanks for the mail and letting me know.
