New Portfolio Video Oktober 2009:
More Portfolio Videos from the past you can find here.
I like the washed-out colors of polaroid. This unique style is really timeless – no hype nor a short term fashion – since decades. As Polaroid stopped to produce new films in early 2008 the prices climbed and climbed since then. It`s time for me to try out how to get those beautiful colors of polaroid 669, polaroid 690 together with photoshop cs4 and lightroom instead of searching for the last polaroid film stock in shops. Here are my first results. I chose some images from my trip to Las Vegas – Nevada – Utah and California to try out ‘digital polaroid’ on american landscapes and street photos. The american style simply ‘cries’ for polaroid colors… It`s not perfect – not at all – but a good starting point to experiment with ‘digital polaroid’ in the future.

Slideshows normally have to have musik or a soundtrack. Unfortunately it`s not possible to add music or sound to flickR slideshows. Another way to show a portfolio is to render a short videoclip. You can add music, sound and in the business version of animoto also custom text. Check out Animoto.com. The good thing is that you don`t have to upload twice (if you have already a flickR account) as animoto is able to grab your sets/collections directly from your photostream at flickR. This makes it very easy and convenient to built up a quick portfolio video. I will add soon some downloadable portfolio DVD`s here made with their technology.
Have fun playing around with this amazing technology. But beware, today is Friday the 13th ;)
