Worldwide iStockalypses 2006-2009 Events
Posted by: | CommentsOnly 11 days to go then the next official iStockalypse – HQ Calgary- 2009 starts in early August. Yesterday I added a new ‘fax-scanner-printer-pdf-making-wifi-network-bluetooth-cf/sd card reading-whatever-you-can think-of’ machine to my homeoffice. To check the automated scanning functions I thought I do something ‘useful’ by going through the different istockalypse – minilypse badges – scanning and archiving them, as i collect those badges :-) So here is a collection of ‘lypse I attended from 2006-until Mid 2009. The Badges are really just the Icons of the beautiful and amazing people, cities and countries I met in the last 3 years. So here is the ‘Mlenny Lypse List’ ordered by time.

Unfortunatly I didn`t find yet the original badges from Ljubljana 2006, London 2006 & 2007 and RedRockalypse II. Don`t remember if in 2006 we already got those membername badges…hmmm…if someone might help me out in remebering or maybe having a scan of a badge i would really appreciate to have a complete collection.
I’m also aware of the fact that I missed the very first lypse in Prag 2005… shit, but as an excuse I wasn’t a contributor at that time. My first images went online at iStockphoto in September 2005…too late to have the possibility to attend the Prag ‘Lypse 2005.

New York City : Architecture, NY Skyscrapers, NY Street Scenes and more.
Posted by: | Comments‘New York, New York , big city of dreams…‘, this was one of several ‘NY’ songs i had in mind while walking in the streets of New York during my 7 day trip to NYC. This city has a vibration that is simple unique. It was the first time I went to NY in summer – thanks to the idea of Nuno, Brent, Ethan and Andy to set up an istock friends meet-up in NY. It was simple phantastic. From the famous Chelsea Hotel (where we stayed), over the surprising death of Michael Jackson (yes we were on times square when the news went through the trillions of radio and tv channels) to the funky Christopher Street Day Parade and Parties- from Wallstreet, 5th Avenue, Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center, Statue of Liberty, Coney Islands, Brooklyn…we really saw alot in these days. I’m sure I have to fly over to this amazing metropolis soon again. There is simple to much to see, even this was my 6th visit to NY, there seems to be no end to discover new things.
Here are the first photos I took during this visit. It is a preview as I shot ‘a Gigage’ of images in NY. The opportunities to take photos are just overhelming there…My New York City Lightbox at iStockphoto, which will fill-up quickly for sure during the next months.
